So California weather is always an adventure. For the last week or so it's been hot and sunny, and then when I wake up this morning it's thunder and lightning. To which my response was "Finally!" You see, the last four times we've had nice thunder storms I've been out of state, I missed them...and thunder storms rank as one of my favorite things ever. So I was quite excited about this one.

The only problem was that this storm seemed to be rather lacking in an essential part of storms, namely water falling from the sky. We had some rain, it would rain for about two minutes, loud enough you couldn't talk to people, and then stop, completely for the next four hours...argh....I want my water .

Still I enjoyed the loud rumbling of thunder...

By the way, has anyone else thought it funny that lightning is the only thing where it's unique sound is named?
